Posada Galapagos focuses on saving water and electricity. They educate the staff members and guests to use only the water they need to for washing hands or groceries, cleaning, having a shower or brushing their teeth. Regarding electricity,  they have installed energy-saving bulbs and solar panels to get hot water and they unplug all the electronics devices which are not in use. Concerning fauna, they explain to guests as they check in or before going to the beach the importance of not touching reefs or taking them or the sand as a souvenir. They also explain the proper season for eating local lobsters and why not to use Jet skis in the area.
